Friday Favorite.....Savannah
After my recent inaugural trip to Savannah, I knew that I had to share some of the great places I found. First I have to say that Savannah seems like a city I was meant to live in. I love the historic buildings and I don't think it's a coincidence that the Savannah College of Art and Design is there. I traveled there with my best friend and it was the perfect spot for a girls trip.....good food, good shopping and lots of people watching.
We found so many great places, I will break them up over the next few weeks. I don't want you to feel like you are being forced to watch a slideshow from someone's vacation.
So, I'll start with the shopping because it always starts with shopping. Although we had a small list of shops to visit, the majority of our shopping was discovered while we wandered around. The first great little shop was Trunk 13, a cute boutique we found by accident. They had a nice selection of clothes and accessories in a cute historic shop.
Another great find was One Fish Two Fish. We found four large rooms filled with an assortment of home decorations, furniture, jewelry, linens, even sweet pajamas. The best part may have been the "Tiffany Box blue" theme. I was slightly obsessed with the center room's sofa filled with throw pillows.
My last find I'll share today was The Paris Market. This was one shop that was on my Pinterest page before we left for Savannah. I had seen several great posts about it. As someone who loves "junk", I was excited by the photos of the market. I loved the selection of vintage looking papers, candles and glassware. I found several cute things that had to come home with me. If you are an artist looking for materials to use in projects, look somewhere else though. This was definitely was a store for someone looking to decorate their home with vintage items. Some items could be found much cheaper if you are willing to dig through a good junk shop (which I did the next day).
