Small house problems
If you were to come to my house you might wonder why I am huddled under a group of banana trees in my backyard pulling weeds in the rain. My answer would be BECAUSE IT'S QUIET OUT HERE. I have a small house, so I live in close quarters to my husband and 8-year-old son. This is usually no problem, but sometimes the noise level reaches my limits and I have to escape (like during the World Cup and a simultaneous Mario Kart marathon). I know saying I'm going to pull weeds ensures me time alone outside. I barely get a nod as they stare at their screens. It's Sunday afternoon of a three day holiday weekend and I just need some quiet. So off to pull weeds, even when the rain begins to fall.
