Product review - Tim Holtz's Glass Media Mat

I'm sure many of you have seen the new glass media mat from Tim Holtz and Tonic Studios.  Like alot of you, I watched Tim's video about all the reasons we NEEDED this mat.  

I still wasn't convinced that I NEEDED one since I have been happy with my craft mat.  How much better could it be?  I decided to give it a try and let me tell you....you NEED one.

Here is why I love it....

• It is a craft mat and a cutting mat in one.  So many time I have to clean off my table and pull my cutting mat over just to cut one little thing.  
• The measurement marks on the mat are under the glass, so you can never scratch them off.
• The palette section is white (while the rest of the mat is black).  Visually this helps me keep track of where my wet paints are so I am less likely to drag something through my paint accidentally. 
• It is very easy to clean!  Even with dried on paint and glue, I can have it clean in a matter of minutes.  My craft mats have seen quite a bit of use and have begun to show their wear.  Even a "clean" mat doesn't look clean anymore.

Tim lists so many more benefits, but these are the ones I have been most happy with.  He mentioned something about keeping your area clean because the mat is on feet.  HA!  My messiness does not submit to some little feet!
